Activity

@Nirav: Sure, sounds good.

@Arti Acharya: I'm also interested in software development activities in financil services are. Specially capital markets groups. I'm based in NYC. lets catch up some times.

hey there... great time meeting some of you tonight at Flute. Look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow. (and those who weren't there tonight!)

@Patricia: Patricia - great to see you at pre-con today.

@Amanda: I love to shop and eat and I live here so I know some good places to go. Let me know if you want to meet up :)

@greg corrin: Sounds good Greg, let's meet up there at 6:15pm or so today (Tuesday Oct 2).

@Jorge Arango: Are you up for the HELVETICA show at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday the 2nd?

If so we can meet up at the IFC box office on 323 6th Ave. at West 3rd St.

Hello,
I really would like to meet also some people working in sports related digital magazines and/or newspapers ( i.e. : ESPN, Sky Sports, CNN, Bbc Sport ).

@Jim Hoekema: One thing happening on Wed. night is that people will be meeting up at a place called Flute around 7. It's a large but somehow also cozy Champagne bar on E 20th btwn Park and Broadway. Just tell the hostess you're with the Idea Conference to get in.

I propose to meet at about 3 - 6 pm in an easy, central place in NY in order to let all of us ( mainly the first time ones ) to be able to reach it.
Maybe at MOMA entrance ? Or in a nice cafe near Central Park on in Lower Manhattan ?
Any suggestions from NewYorkers are welcome :-)

@Jim Hoekema: So, what's happening on Wed night? I'm open to whatever. :-)

@Jorge Arango: Yes, I'll be in town starting this weekend. Could we get a trip going to the last show on Oct 2?

Helvetica is gonna be playing at the IFC Center until October 2: http://www.ifccenter.com/film?filmid=...

I'm gonna try to go, anyone else up for it?

@Melissa: Nevermind - it's fully booked anyway.

@Melissa: The 30/30 Hotel is listed as the conference hotel - is there a special rate?

@Sabrina Fonseca: Sabrina,
Glad you're up for MOMA on Friday. Hope we get some more takers.
- Jim

@Jim Hoekema: I'm in for visiting MOMA.

@Melissa: I added a question to the My Profile page so people can list the hotels they are staying at in case they want to meet up that way. There are so many hotels in the city, however, I wonder how many matches we'll have!

@daniele galiffa: Yes - let's meet up on Wednesday night. I'm sure we can find a place near our Pre-con venue.

Is there a way we can use this system to keep a list of hotels we're all staying at?

I'm semi-local, coming in from about an hour up the Hudson from NYC. I may stay in the city Thursday night, but not Friday. Friday evening is good time for MOMA, though - the museum is free (a $20 value!) and open until 8pm on Fridays, I believe.

@Jim Hoekema: Hi Jim, you are not the only person who plans to visit MOMA during the IDEA week. Are you interested in going on Saturday following the conference? It's closed on Tuesday, and Wednesday is pre-con.

Hi all,

I'm really excited to be attending this conference and visiting NYC. It's been a long, long time since I last visited.

Looking forward to meeting you folks.

-Ken

@Mari-Carmen: Hi Mari-Carmen--I hope you like NYC. I've lived here more than half my life and I love it.

thanks... i added them. there must be something funky with my blog's rss feed, though, since it's leaving out the most recent posts. but no worries...

@Christian Crumlish: Xian, I don't know if you already saw this feature, but you can add your RSS feed or Flickr feed to the IDEA crowdvine app as well. See you in two weeks.

Hi, I'll be in NYC on 3rd. It's my first time in NYC (and in US!) so I'm interested in visiting the city, someone else?

Ciao,
I will reach NY on 3rd October around 1pm.

After my setup in the Hotel, I will be happy to meet u all of you before going to IDEA.

@daniele galiffa: Daniele, It's great to hear that you are coming to IDEA from Milano. When to you arrive in NYC?

@Noreen Whysel: Noreen, I see what you mean. I'm not sure what happens if you only use follow but not Want-to-meet. I'll try it and see. I think the main difference would be in the news feeds, so if you are following people you may only see their news feeds on Posts From Your Network page.

@greg corrin: This is a neat little app. Wondering what Follow is supposed to mean. I find if you check both Want to Meet and Follow, it only says Follow under that person's profile. We need more people in here!
